Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu temple is a Hindu temple on the south part of Bali peninsula and built on top of cliff facing to Hindian ocean. It is one of Sad Kahyangan temple in Bali (six big group temple of Bali temples). Uluwatu temple is located in Pecatu village, district of south Kuta and Badung regency. Its about 30 Km southerly part of Denpasat city. Uluwatu Temple is one of Balinese Hindu Temple located in southern part of Bali right on the cliff bank with magnificent view of the Indian Ocean. It is very amazing that this temple is built on the narrow peninsula with deep rocky beach under it. It own very beautiful view in particular of the sunset time. There are group of monkeys live around the temple that keep and protect the temple from the bad influence based on the local resident’s believes. Uluwatu Temple owns the history and culture heritage that is one of the value and feature that many visitors visit this place.

Kecak & Fire Dance

The kecak dance or Cak dance is a part of sanghyang dance. In the sanghayang dance there are a women’s chorus and a men’ chorus. The men’s chorus chants the word cak ke cak ke cak ke cak in rhythm, over and over again untill finish.. for this reason they called Kecak.
